What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, Center for Health Sciences position at SRI International?
Overview
The SRI Center for Health Sciences is looking for a Summer Student Associate to work on various projects in the lab. We are looking for an undergraduate student to help our team of sleep experts, psychologists, and data scientists in the SRI Sleep lab.
The main project will be the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study. The NIH-sponsored ABCD Study is a multi-site nationwide study following 10,000 children for 10 years. It is the largest study to date to examine factors (e.g., sleep, physical activity, stress, trauma, substance use) that influence child and adolescent neurodevelopment.
The Summer Student Associate will learn more about the research process and will contribute punctually with office work to assist on the project. The student will work on-site in our Menlo Park, CA office. Schedule will be flexible based on student availability and scheduling of participants.
Responsibilities
Assist in data collection and other aspects of the studies including the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) study
Qualifications
- Current high school student
- Due to government contract requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Able to work some evenings and/or weekends, depending on scheduling of participants
The salary range is: $17.10/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
