Brief Overview:
We're seeking a Civil EIT or PE with experience in municipal water/wastewater design to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience with relevant software.
Job Description:
The Civil EIT or PE will assist in generating project deliverables, producing design plans, specifications, and reports, and providing oversight/supervision of internal staff and external parties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in generating project deliverables, including plan design and production, specifications, and other assigned tasks
- Produce design plans, specifications, and reports in support of municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Assist in generation and maintenance of project schedule/budget (PE role)
- Provide oversight/supervision of internal staff and external parties (PE role)
- Assist with construction administration tasks, such as submittals, contracts, and bidding (PE role)
Requirements:
- Minimum BS in Civil Engineering; MS degree preferred
- PE certification or EIT required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in municipal water/wastewater design (EIT role); 5 years (PE role)
- Experience in drainage design a plus
- Relevant software experience in programs such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, ArcGIS, or other hydraulic modeling programs
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communication skills
