Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and systems. This role involves performing diagnostic testing at the component level, collaborating with the assembly team, and ensuring all test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic testing, RF electronics, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies down to the component level.
- Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Work collaboratively with the assembly team to meet production schedules and ensure timely shipments.
- Identify and diagnose test failures, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
- Calibrate and maintain electronic test equipment and test stations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machines and equipment.
- Track and update production and return status reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all government standards for sensitive and confidential information.
- Train, mentor, and support junior technicians as needed.
- Assist Engineering teams in developing new test procedures and policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (AS degree in Electronic Technology preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electronics Test Technician.
- Strong working knowledge of digital and RF electronics circuit functionality.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience using and maintaining advanced electronic test equipment.
- Strong finger dexterity for working with small components.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Environment:
- Onsite role with hands-on testing and troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Must be present at the assigned worksite during scheduled hours 100% of the time (excluding PTO and approved leave).
- Occasional interaction with engineering teams and the public as necessary.
- Some training and mentoring responsibilities for junior technicians.
