Job Title: Full-Time Medical Assistant

Job Description: Wr are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a medical assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and ensuring smooth operations within our healthcare facility. This is a full-time position based in Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals
• Greet patients, verify their information, and assist with the check-in process
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies
• Escort patients to examination rooms and assist healthcare providers with patient examinations
• Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient charts accurately
• Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and perform phlebotomy when necessary
• Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care
• Assist in coordinating patient referrals, including scheduling appointments with specialists and obtaining medical records
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control protocols and standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care and promote a positive patient experience

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred
• Proven experience as a medical assistant in a primary care or pediatric setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic laboratory techniques
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and friendly demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• CPR certification and other relevant certifications are a plus
