Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with sleep disorders, including both adults and pediatrics. Responsibilities include administering CPAP, Bi-Level, ASV, MSLT, MWT, HST, and O2 titration. You will also educate patients and provide oversight and training for other staff members. The position may require working variable shifts, including nights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing for adult and pediatric patients.
- Administer diagnostic and therapeutic services such as CPAP, Bi-Level, ASV, MSLT, MWT, HST, and O2 titration.
- Monitor and analyze sleep patterns, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
- Provide patient education about sleep disorders and therapeutic treatments.
- Oversee and train new staff in sleep study procedures and equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
- Ensure the accurate documentation of testing results, patient care, and interventions.
- Work under the supervision of the Supervisor, Manager, or Director.
Required Qualifications:
- California Polysomnographic Technologist License upon hire.
- National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or National Certified Polysomnographic Technician (NCPSGT) – Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification – American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a basic training course in Polysomnographic skills from a school of sleep medicine.
- Completion of a medical terminology course.
- 1 years of experience in a Sleep Disorder Center.
- Background as a Sleep Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, or EEG Technologist.
