Sonographer – Diagnostic Cardiac (Full-Time, Onsite, Clackamas, OR)

Position Overview
A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join their team in Clackamas, OR. This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a hospital or clinical setting, assisting with patient care, and ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, emergent, portable, and surgical ultrasound examinations following department policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient preparation and transport as needed.
- Perform data entry, filing, restocking supplies, cleaning, and quality assurance tasks.
- Participate in on-call or standby schedules as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education:
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved program with one year of ultrasound training and certification, OR
- Two years in Allied Health and successful completion of a two-year ARDMS program, OR
- Graduation from an AMA-accredited ultrasound program with ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification (new graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire).
- Certification & Licenses:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) (must be obtained within 12 months of hire).
- Oregon Sonography Technologist License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required within one month of hire).
- Additional Requirements: Completion of a formal ultrasound training program.
Preferred:
- Experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echocardiography.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and perform exams confidently without supervision.
- Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow policies and procedures.
