Job Title: System Implementation Project Manager
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Longterm
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in-house and consultant development teams.
- Define project scope, develop schedules, monitor budgets/costs, and manage project deliverables.
- Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP).
- Oversee the development and implementation of software applications.
- Monitor project activities and mitigate risks.
- Supervise programming staff involved in application development.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with quality assurance.
- Maintain strategic partnerships between business needs and technology solutions.
- Implement and manage SDLC processes.
- Utilize project management tools like MS-Project, Project Server, Jira, Primavera, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Visio.
- Generate project performance reports and ensure compliance with quality management plans.
- Identify potential project risks and stakeholder concerns while ensuring smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related technology field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience managing medium-to-large-scale projects with multiple work streams and teams of 15 people.
- Certifications: PMP Certification preferred.
Mandatory Skills & Experience (Must-Have):
- Experience coordinating large-scale technology projects with multiple deliverables.
- Strong leadership and project management experience.
- Ability to oversee and coordinate diverse project teams.
- Proficiency in software project implementation, quality control, and risk management.
- Skilled in financial, administrative, and technical aspects of project execution.
- Hands-on experience with project tracking, reporting, and resource management.
Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Have):
- Prior experience in government projects (federal/state/local).
- Expertise in GIS tools and map integration.
- Experience in wireless, mobile, and disconnected architecture applications.
- Knowledge of asset management system development.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and understand business requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and at least one programming language.
