Job Title: Senior Lead Google Cloud Platform Migration Data Engineer
Duration: 8 Months (initial contract)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Lead Google Cloud Platform Migration Data Engineer to support the migration of data to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The role involves optimizing BigQuery queries, migrating SAS workloads, and automating data transformations using Python in Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate DB2 queries to BigQuery.
- Optimize and troubleshoot queries in BigQuery.
- Extract data from MS SQL to BigQuery.
- Code and automate data transformation using Python in Google Cloud Platform.
- Use DataProc and other Google Cloud Platform tools for data transformations.
- Convert and refine SAS workloads to run in BigQuery.
- Troubleshoot SAS job performance and security token issues.
- Support Azure DevOps for source code management and deployments.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Google BigQuery.
- Python coding experience in Google Cloud Platform (including Colab).
- Experience with DataProc and other Google Cloud Platform data tools.
- Familiarity with SAS development and migration to BigQuery.
- Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
