What's your day like?
As an Occupational Therapist at SRL Total Source LLC, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient care through comprehensive patient assessment and treatment planning. You will conduct thorough evaluations-including musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional assessments-to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs. Your expertise in implementing therapeutic interventions will focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and daily living skills through various techniques such as posture training and neuromuscular re-education. You will also assess, prescribe, and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance patient independence.
Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with policies will be essential aspects of your role, alongside providing crucial education to patients and families regarding home programs and adaptive techniques. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you will contribute to care planning meetings and ensure seamless continuity of care, all while actively engaging in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of the field.
What we're looking for in an Occupational Therapist
To thrive as an Occupational Therapist at SRL Total Source LLC, candidates must possess a current, active license or registration as an Occupational Therapist, recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association and the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy. Successful completion of the national examination is essential, along with a minimum of two years of hospital or ambulatory care experience. Candidates should have basic Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, ensuring they can respond to emergencies. Strong communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English are crucial for effective patient interactions and teamwork.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, necessitating physical stamina and mobility. Additionally, candidates must pass the VA Public Trust Clearance and be U.S. citizens or Permanent residents, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards in our patient-centered approach.
