We are seeking a passionate and high-level leader to oversee multi-site Quarry Operations. This individual will spearhead the management of daily activities, champion safety, and regulatory compliance, boost efficiency and profitability, and lead several cohesive teams toward achieving operational excellence in all facets of the Quarry operation.
The Area Manager is responsible for driving productivity, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and customer service by overseeing and managing multi-site operations in their respective areas. This position will be responsible for our Quarries located in KY, OH and IN and will report directly to the VP of Aggregates.
Responsibilities:
Manage multi-site Quarry operations , focusing on safety, production goals, quality standards, environmental compliance, production, maintenance, and logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective achievement of objectives.
Strategize and implement objectives and plans that align with the company's mission and vision, promoting a culture centered on safety, performance, and quality.
Enforce stringent cost control strategies, overseeing operations within budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
Nurture and develop a team of supervisors, technical staff, and operators through training, performance assessments, and career progression opportunities.
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental legislations, fostering a safe and respectful working environment.
Evaluate current operational processes and systems to identify and implement improvement measures that enhance operational effectiveness and profitability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Geology, or related field.
Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in Aggregate/Quarry management, showing a track record of operational success.
Strong knowledge of Aggregate/Quarry production processes and equipment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven effectiveness in guiding a diverse team.
Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in the mining or quarry sector.
Demonstrated proficiency in cost control and process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and industry-related software systems.
