What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at SRM Concrete?
As a Block Team Member at our plant, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your duties will involve a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing line, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the production of concrete blocks, including setting up, operating, and cleaning machinery and equipment.
Load and unload materials, products, and waste, ensuring accuracy and care.
Conduct quality control inspections to maintain product standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and improve processes.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
Handle additional duties and projects as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Basic mechanical skills are advantageous.
Commitment to safety rules and regulations.
Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
