Duties
- Provide direct support to individual with disabilities in home and community settings.
- Assist person with daily living activities, meal preparation, household chores and community activities.
- Promote positive behaviors.
- Engage individual in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and community involvement.
- Drive clients to appointments, recreational activities, or community events as needed.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop individualized support plans.
- Maintain positive communications.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working in inclusive settings.
- Knowledge of home community care principles and practices.
- Ability to assist individual using positive behavior supports.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for transportation duties.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
