Bookkeeper Assistant-Collections Clerk

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Clerk with a strong background in collections. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting payments from customers who have overdue/passed accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect overdue payments and resolve account issues.
- Ability to negotiate payment plans
- Process incoming payments and update customer accounts accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and client communications.
- Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile discrepancies and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Assist in the development of collection policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Generate reports on collection activity and account status for management review.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Finance or related field pre
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
