Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC and Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and refrigeration units in both commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and efficiency of our climate control systems while providing excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment.
- Install, modify, and replace various HVAC components, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Handle refrigerant management and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repair requests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate service records, documenting repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, technologies, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members and assist in training junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC and refrigeration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, and electrical systems.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during on-site service calls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
