Position Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced Release Manager with 12 years of experience to support the implementation of technology initiatives for State Based Marketplaces and Health Insurance Exchanges. This role requires strong understanding of SDLC, implementation planning, vendor coordination, and project documentation. A successful candidate will serve as a liaison between internal teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and external vendors to ensure successful technology releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for release management and third-party implementations.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with SMEs and vendors.
- Represent Health Connector in system change discussions with third-party vendors.
- Lead triage and resolution of issues during implementation and testing phases.
- Assess Go-live readiness, identify project risks, and define mitigation plans.
- Maintain an integrated project implementation schedule.
- Oversee project documentation including requirements, deliverables, and approvals.
- Apply PMI best practices in managing project tasks and timelines.
- Oversee Business Analysts if assigned to the project.
- Communicate project progress and ensure alignment with goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in release management or business analysis.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management.
- Strong familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Previous experience with government agencies (local, state, federal) is preferred.
- Prior experience with State Based Marketplaces (SBM) or Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX) is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
- SAFe Agilist or other Agile/Scrum certifications
