Principal Software Engineer

What You Will Get To Do :

As a member of a cross-functional Scrum team, you'll play a critical role in the development of software solutions. You'll work closely with other team members, informing requirements and designs, and ensuring that the final product meets customer needs.

You'll see the development process through from start to finish, ensuring that code is implemented in production and meeting the team's Definition of "Done".

In addition to working with other team members, you'll collaborate closely with software architects to optimize technical designs and challenge decisions when necessary. You'll inspect iterative results and propose improvements to techniques, tools, and processes, helping to ensure that the team is always working at the highest levels.

As a senior team member, you'll take co-ownership of your Definition of Done with your Development Team member peers and be uncompromising on quantifiable code quality. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor your more junior counterparts, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow and develop.

Finally, you'll get to know your customer and empathize with their pain points. This understanding will be critical to your success in solving their problems and delivering solutions that meet their needs. When you help to solve their problems, you'll share in the satisfaction of a job well done.

What You Will Bring :

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with at least 4 years of software engineering experience, or a Master's degree in computer science or engineering with a minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience.

Experience designing and developing data models that capture the business logic of the fintech product.

Experience designing and developing highly scalable and performant Enterprise-grade application(s) using NodeJS, C#,and / orPython.

Hands-on experience working with NoSQL databases and caching layers, such as MongoDB and Redis.

Experience creating dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar software to provide insights into the performance of the fintech product.

Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs with JSON payloads.

Possess strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React, and HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Web Standards, User Experience (UX).

Highly proficient in developing and troubleshooting cross-platform and cross-browser issues.

Knowledge of working with Docker containers, and Kubernetes, HelmFluency in one or more scripting languages like Python
