What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Department Summer Help (Temp) position at SS Equipment?
S.S. Equipment, one of the Northwest’s premier New Holland equipment dealerships, is seeking a part-time Summer Parts Counter Representative for our La Grande, OR location. This person will interface with walk-in customers at the store location to answer questions and sell parts. This is a 4 month assignment with the potential to extend.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with no major driving infractions in the last 3 years.

Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Working the front counter, greeting customers
- Answering store phone calls
- Researching parts availability and ordering parts in for customers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
This is an entry level position however, candidates with any of the qualifications below are strongly encouraged to apply.
- General Agricultural Equipment Knowledge Preferred
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, ability to learn Web Based Business System
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening
