Position Title: Food Service Cook
Reports to: Food Operations Manager(s), Sous Chef(s), and Executive Chef
Responsibilities:
- Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
- Assist with restaurant prep (BOH and line) for daily operation.
- Ensure proper food quantities are set for daily and ongoing service.
- Participate in safety logs, including food temperatures, rotation, and waste management as necessary.
- Maintain safe food handling practices.
- Ensure proper uniform, hygiene, hand-washing, and glove use.
- Uphold a SSAfety work environment by following all safety rules.
- Follow through with daily prep and item lists as assigned.
- Actively support operations by filling in roles as needed.
- Efficiently respond to guest and client feedback, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and specials to share with guests.
- Assist with dishwashing as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Must be 16 years or older
- Food Handler’s Permit required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Team player who is personable, professional, upbeat, and takes initiative
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to move and handle boxes (10-35 lbs) as necessary for operations, including lifting
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Night availability is a must during our lantern event this spring.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the brand team, with networking opportunities across all units.
- Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members at all levels.
- Lead by example through sustainability and conservation efforts, applying business practices and providing staff with opportunities to learn.
- Engage with SSA/Unit in community-driven initiatives and giving-back opportunities.
Compensation And Benefits

- Hourly, Non-Exempt. Pay based on experience and certifications
