We are seeking a dependable and responsible Construction Inspector with strong communication skills to join our team. This role involves extensive outdoor work, proficiency in mathematical calculations, and the ability to prepare detailed written reports. Candidates must be computer-literate and possess a valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Compliance: Confirm that all work performed by contractors meets applicable codes and safety requirements.
- Research and Documentation: Conduct thorough research on construction information, document findings promptly, and report any discrepancies to the Project Manager, Engineer, or Inspection Supervisor.
- Material Inspection: Inspect, measure, and issue delivery receipts for materials purchased, delivered, and utilized in projects as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports that compile necessary data, including staff materials, time, issues, concerns, and other project-related matters. Ensure that inspection reports accurately reflect the contractor's work.
- Change Management: Seek approval from the Project Manager, Engineer, or Inspection Supervisor for any changes to project scope or additional inspection services as required.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
- Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with construction activities is preferred.
- Independence: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
Pay will be commensurate with experience.
