What are the responsibilities and job description for the Avionics System Engineer position at SSi People?
The selected candidate will help design, certify & support commercial airplanes by applying state-of-the-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling, and analysis principles. R&M Engineering is a key functional discipline that supports the airplane development for optimal performance, lifecycle economics & compliance to safety and airworthiness requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an ABET (or similar) accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 8 or more years' related work experience in an engineering field
- 5 or more years of Reliability Engineering experience in commercial aviation
- Experience in airplane systems design or engineering analysis (e.g., Propulsion, Electrical Power, Mechanical, Network, Fuels, Pneumatic, Interiors, Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels, etc.)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience in commercial airplane certification.
- Proficient in FTA software tools such as CAFTA, ReliaSoft, or FaultTree .
- Experience in FTA integration for commercial airplanes.
