IT Support Assistant - Entry Level

Job Details

Main Objective:

  • Support the efficient day-to-day operations of the IT department by managing tasks such as computer setups, desk moves, and inventory maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform desk and computer moves, including setting up, Windows, Linux, and macOS environments using Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues and escalate unresolved issues to internal teams.
  • Deliver and manage computer accessories and hardware inventory.
  • Calibrate monitors and assist with hardware shipping, tagging, Nand unboxing.
  • Ensure organized storage and flag inventory needs with procurement.
  • Maintain accurate asset assignments in Asset Management System.
  • Handle daily walk-in support and administrative tasks.
  • Identify areas for IT environment improvements and suggest solutions.
  • Participate in stock audits and manage minimum inventory levels.
  • Be flexible to accommodate production demands, including physical tasks like lifting heavy equipment (up to 25kg).

Communication, Collaboration & Relationships Development

  • Work collaboratively within a global IT team and liaise with stakeholders like Asset Management, Front of House/Reception, and Production.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues, share knowledge, and prioritize tasks.
  • Foster a positive, detail-oriented, and adaptable team environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools like Google Suite and Slack.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and time management.
  • Adaptive, positive attitude with a willingness to support after-hours needs.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in IT, administration, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with ticket management systems and asset management tools.
  • IT certifications or specialized knowledge in relevant fields.
