Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Specialist in Operations and Building Management. This role is integral to the smooth operation and maintenance of our client’s facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all occupants.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and enforce adherence to all relevant safety and health regulations, building codes, and company policies to ensure a secure and risk-free environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including but not limited to fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems, to ensure they are functioning at optimal levels.
- Supervise and evaluate the work performed by external contractors in various areas such as landscaping, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Execute assigned repairs, engage in preventative maintenance activities, and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Administer an energy efficiency program aimed at reducing operating costs and promoting sustainable practices.
- Undertake routine building maintenance tasks, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance to ensure the upkeep of the facility.
- A high school diploma or GED, complemented by a minimum of 2 years of experience in related fields.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems to effectively manage and maintain building operations.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment as needed.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to ensure adherence to guidelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within our client’s team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external contractors.
