Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer 3
Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid)
Join our Product Integrity Team at our client's location in Beaverton, Oregon. We're seeking a creative problem-solver with a strong background in material/product development, quality assurance, and process improvement. As a Quality Assurance Engineer 3, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our product quality and integrity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current capabilities across apparel and footwear, identifying gaps and areas for optimization
- Develop strategies to improve color and material quality, reduce defects, and enhance overall product integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements
- Maintain relationships with engineers managing our suppliers and factories to ensure quality standards compliance
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
- Develop and present reports to senior leadership on product integrity initiatives and progress
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Textile Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the footwear and/or apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing, dyeing, finishing, printing, testing, and industry material trends
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, experience with Smartsheet, Tableau, Miro, Slack is a plus
