What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Product Manager position at SSi People?
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with the apparel product creation team to drive process and strategy for the NWSL.
- Establish, maintain, and cultivate key relationships with teams, the league, and recognize consumer and competitive trends in key North American markets.
- Leverage athlete, consumer, and marketplace insights to create impactful product narratives.
- Lead a product team to deliver innovative and high-performance products for athletes and a compelling retail assortment for consumers.
- Analyze current business trends, including bookings and sell-through by channel, country, GEO, style, and color.
- Understand the consumer, analyze product and competitive trends in the team markets, and apply this understanding to decision making.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or 2 years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree).
- 5 years experience in relevant product-related roles.
- Expert Product Management and Merchandising skills and understanding of the product process.
- Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude, and retail math skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate, lead, negotiate and influence.
- Proficiency with Keynote, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint and Excel.
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
- Global sense of awareness (knowledge of current world events, respect and appreciation for other cultures).
- Deep knowledge and understanding of athletes, marketplace and consumer landscape.
- A passion or interest in Global Football (Soccer) is a plus.
