What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic Helper With CDL License position at SSI Petroleum?
STARFLEET - a locally owned and operated family business looking for an experienced Mechanic Helper must have a CDL class A or B Driver's License to work on a fleet of Trucks and Industrial Equipment. It is a Full-Time position with some overtime. The Mechanic Helper would be responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance including basic engine, hydraulic system and transmission maintenance (oil and filter changes), brake adjustments and repair, tire repair, and other basic mechanical tasks as required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Scheduled Maintenance and Repair of Semi-Tractors, Trailers, and Trucks.
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, basic electrical troubleshooting, and tire repair.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience preferred.
- CDL A or B license needed with Hazmat / Tanker.
- Work weekends and be flexible.
- Travel to the different job sites when needed.
- Able to bend, push, pull, and lift.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass background and drug screening.
