Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in the Diagnostic Imaging department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, recording patient test results, and reporting findings to physicians.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Procedures: Perform echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and other cardiac sonography tests to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
- Patient Care: Position patients comfortably, monitor their comfort and safety during tests, and alert physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition, report deficiencies, and verify adequate supplies are available.
- Image Quality: Ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS, with correct lead markers and patient data/history.
Requirements
- Credentials: Hold ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography, or equivalent experience and education.
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
Work Environment
The Cardiac Sonographer will work in a fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging department, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
