Job Description
The Environmental Services Professional will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. This involves cleaning patient rooms, offices, classrooms, work areas, and public spaces as assigned, as well as handling laundry items, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, vacuuming, and using mechanical equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, classrooms, work areas, and public spaces according to established procedures and standards.
- Handle all laundry items by sorting and placing them in proper containers according to established procedures and standards.
- Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, vacuuming, and using mechanical equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Clean and disinfect sterile procedure rooms according to policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to safety precautions, policies, procedures, and standards for handling infectious wastes, hazardous materials, waste spills, and exposures.
