About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Computed Tomography. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
- Administer contrast media and medications as needed, adhering to accepted scope of practice and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormalities, suggesting updates or refinements to protocols as necessary.
- FOLLOW RADIATION SAFETY PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Radiology certification program or registration in Radiology.
- No experience required.
Physical Demands:
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Rare kneeling and sitting.
Licenses/Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Radiography (ARRT-R)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) within 12 months of hire
- Radiographer License in the State of Wisconsin
