What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Imaging Assistant position at SSM Health?

As a Youth Apprentice in our Imaging Department, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of licensed professionals performing diagnostic imaging services for our patients.
The Imaging Assistant will support radiologic health professionals by preparing the room for procedures, providing patient support, assisting with procedures, and maintaining supply inventory. This includes transporting patients to procedure rooms, assisting with patient pre-screening, preparing and positioning patients under the guidance of the technologist, and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
To be successful in this role, you must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in High School or 18 years old with a High School diploma/GED. You should also have a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and be able to foster a culture of caring through interpersonal relationships and communication.
