Job Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitors patient responses to interventions.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.
- Participates in ongoing education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in behavioral health nursing.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in behavioral health nursing, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Current RN licensure in state of practice, and BLS certification.
