Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams: Position patients for radiology exams, transport patients to and from clinical areas, and verify patient identity according to policies and procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment: Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines, prevent unnecessary radiation exposure, and ensure equipment is properly functioning.
- Administer contrast media and medications: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records: Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
Requirements
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- No experience required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-BD Bone Density - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
