Job Title: Skilled Nursing Professional
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nursing professional to join our team at SSM Health. As a member of our care team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care to acute, subacute, and chronically ill residents, administering medications and treatments according to standards of care.
- Direct CNAs and monitor the workflow of the unit to ensure coordination of care, using the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of medications and ensure proper distribution to residents.
- Guide auxiliary staff and communicate with residents, guardians, and family members on current conditions and needs.
- Ensure preventative measures are in place, such as skin checks, turning/repositioning schedules, and cushion use in wheelchairs.
- Respond promptly to alarms and activate restraint alternatives, including personal alarms and wheelchair belts.
- Provide end-of-life care, ensuring hygiene, comfort, and spiritual needs are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education.
- No experience required.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License
Work Environment:
Constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs; occasional lifting/moving of patients.
