Urgent Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner

As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and high-quality care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries in our urgent care setting. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Opportunity to provide patient care at one of our 8 urgent care locations in the greater St. Competitive hourly rate with shift differential pay Signing bonus potential Flexible scheduling of 3x12s or 2x12s based on FTE Every 3 rd Weekend Rotation Great teamwork and support staff Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to determine the appropriate course of treatment for urgent care patients. Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries, such as upper respiratory infections, minor lacerations, sprains, and fractures. Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, injury prevention, and treatment plans, including medication instructions and follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between urgent care and other healthcare settings, as needed. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards of care to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure patient safety. Educational Background : Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Experience : One-year proven experience in urgent care or a similar fast-paced clinical setting, showcasing strong clinical and diagnostic decision-making skills.
