Overview:
This role involves setting up and operating automated surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs). It requires monitoring efficiency, ensuring quality, and assisting with troubleshooting and team training.
Responsibilities:
- Operate SMT assembly equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and X-ray machines.
- Load and clean PCBs, pick components, and prepare feeders.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor the assembly process and report discrepancies.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Inspect finished boards for accuracy and quality.
- Identify and escalate production issues as needed.
- Assist in training new hires and sharing best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a similar industry.
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently.
- Familiarity with SMT equipment and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assemblies.
