What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Loss Prevention Manager position at SSP America?
The Regional Loss Prevention Manager will work with limited supervision to implement and maintain the Loss Prevention programs for all airport restaurants in their assigned locations. Maintains and/or establishes successful business partnerships throughout all assigned airports to create Loss Prevention and Safety awareness, provide the necessary support to its business partners, and drive overall results. Perform daily research of POS activity utilizing our exception-based reporting tool, CCTV, and other financial data systems to identify suspicious activity, make recommendations, investigate, and resolve all integrity issues (i.e., acceptable levels of inventory, unit system accuracy, cash shortages, risk management costs). Must initiate regular interdepartmental communication at all levels (i.e., partners, management, operations teams, etc.).
This position reports directly to the Director, Loss Prevention and is based in the US Southeast region (i.e., Miami/Orlando/Tampa/Atlanta) and will be assigned to various airports to support business needs.
- This position requires up to 30% - 40% travel throughout assigned Southeast region
- Pays $80,000 - $90,000 per year with bonus potential
Essential Functions
Business Partnership
- Build and maintain effective business partnerships with Senior Leadership, Regional Operators, Support Center, and external airport personnel to achieve organizational goals.
- Educate and motivate team members to achieve loss prevention goals, as well as champion the reduction of both employee and guest safety incidents/liabilities for the locations.
- Identify and communicate potential ethical and/or safety issues to stakeholders, when necessary.
- Manage and ensure reporting is completed on all critical incidents within the assigned locations.
Investigations & Analysis
- Perform daily research of POS activity utilizing our exception-based reporting tool, CCTV, and other financial data systems to identify suspicious activity and make recommendations based on analysis of reported data.
- Utilize exception reports to identify high-risk transactions/restaurant operational opportunities; investigate and report findings.
- Complete necessary integrity-based interviews in-person and/or via phone as needed to resolve Loss Prevention related issues.
- Research and present POS fraud case files to our business partners for resolution through the LP interview process.
- Initiate and conduct investigations into all known or suspected violations of policy and potential dishonest activity, and ensure the investigations are completed in a manner that complies with all corporate and legal standards.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to investigative findings and retain within the company case management software.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all written reports, the development, and implementation of corrective actions, as well as all record keeping and the retention of evidence.
- Coordinate with law enforcement personnel, court systems, and customers in an effective and professional manner, and appear as a representative of the company in various legal proceedings.
- Utilize all available resources to initiate and complete all investigations of dishonesty.
- Communicate findings of investigations to business partners as dictated by Loss Prevention standards.
- Identify opportunities through data analysis and communicate with Operations and Loss Prevention to facilitate change.
- Provide investigative and interview support for locations, including supporting Field and Support Center Human Resources, where appropriate.
Systems & Security
- Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in all Loss Prevention systems and video surveillance software.
- Responsible for the proper operation and repair of all CCTV equipment.
- Create CCTV markups for new restaurants.
- Provide support for armored car issues.
- Identify and manage the procedures/logistics associated with cash recyclers as they arise.
- Perform analysis and follow-up on inventory issues and/or audits to control costs and shortages.
Experience, Skills & Other Requirements
- Required to have successful completion of a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in loss prevention management, security management, communications, or comparable work experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of Multi-unit Loss Prevention experience in a position of similar complexity, scope, size, security, and impact (i.e., restaurant or retail).
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification on integrity interviews, including phone interviews is required.
- Required proficiency, intermediate level Microsoft 365 and Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Proven ability to investigate incidents of internal dishonesty and fraud from the identification of the issue, through the development of the details, completion of the integrity interview, and the final disposition of the case.
- Proven ability in analyzing, researching, and reconciling POS data, accounting, and inventory data.
- Proven track record of facilitating the presentation of information to a diverse audience from field partners to the executive leadership team.
- Experience in the food and beverage service industry preferred.

- Ability to pass/maintain security pass clearance and other job-related background checks.
