Real Estate/Title Paralegal
SSP Law is looking for a full-time Real Estate/Title Paralegal to join our team.

The ideal Real Estate/Title Paralegal candidate is professional, maintains a positive attitude under pressure, completes tasks with accuracy, is proactive, and works well with little supervision.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review title exams, checking legal descriptions for accuracy, checking local auditor sites for accuracy regarding details on each subject parcel, including current and/or delinquent taxes
- Organize and assemble title documents and prepare loan and owner title insurance commitments (that result in loan and owner title insurance policies)
- Order title exams; review and research the title exam results for accuracy, including obtaining copies of pertinent title documents (deeds, mortgages, easements, judgment liens) through subject parcel county websites
- Receive and review requests for title from lender and/or client
- Record pertinent mortgage and/or deed documents with county recorder's offices
- Correspond with title insurance underwriters and lenders
- Assist with ordering Construction Loan title updates and prepare endorsements
- Coordinate real estate closings
- Prepare closing statements and other closing documents
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years title and/or real estate closing experience
- Strong understanding of title work and/or commercial real estate transactions
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Qualia real estate title and closing software is preferred but not required
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Advanced organization skills and attention to detail
