Here are some things you can expect as a Porter:
- Understand that our guest is our #1 priority.
- Check delivered product for quality and quantity to verify receipt of items on invoice.
- Confirm that all frozen or refrigerated goods are within HACCP standards.
- Determine method of storage, identification, and stock location considering temperature, humidity, height, and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space and other proper storage procedures
- Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.
- Make timely deliveries to operating restaurants throughout the property and on schedule
- Conduct Inventory
- Compile reports
- Shipping and Receiving
- Pick and Pack all orders
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and storage areas and remove refuse. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, where applicable.
- Transport unused product for disposal and soiled service-ware to the kitchen and/or production area for cleaning.
- Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to supervisor/Manager on duty.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
