General Manager for new restaurant opening!
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager to to open the area's newest restaurant in the southern suburbs.
The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including food preparation, service, and inventory control
- Train and supervise staff members to ensure they provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor and maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the the staff on areas of service
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address any concerns or issues
- Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Previous experience in hospitality management or food service management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in inventory control and cost management
- Cash handling experience and ability to manage financial transactions accurately
- Experience in banquet or event planning is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience
