CNC Saw Operator
General Description
Operation of automated sawing equipment
Responsibilities:
* Process cut orders on saws.
* Maintain a clean machine and surrounding area.
* Maintain production levels necessary to maintain supply and demand.
* Work in a fast pace environment with rapidly changing priorities.
* Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
* Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
* Lifting materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually, or using hoist.
* Change out blades as needed.
* Follow all safety requirements regarding forklift, crane, and saw operation.
* Load infeed tables with proper material and remove finished goods from outfeed tables.
* Performing preventative maintenance as required.
* Understand and operate CNC machine controls.
* Understand and monitor all sawing variables.
* Ensure output parts meet quality requirements.
* Set-up and arrange work area as suited for most efficient production runs.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* Basic troubleshooting and repair.
* Able to read blueprints.
* Proven measurement and mathematical fractional/decimal conversion skills.
* Able to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
* Candidate must be a strong team player.
* Candidate has to be reliable.
* Able to use measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, tape measure, & protractors.
* Use hand tools as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Trained forklift and crane operator.
* A high school graduate or GED equivalent w/ English language fluency.
* Previous production experience is preferred.
* Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical controls.

Physical Requirements
Agility: The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks.
Physical Strength: The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups. Required to lift up to 60lbs unassisted.
Protective Equipment: The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions including but not limited to; steel-toed boots, hard hats, gloves, goggles, glasses, masks, ear protectors, respirators and clothing.
Stamina: The ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time. This may include performing repetitive or strenuous tasks as well as standing and sitting for long periods.
Visual Acuity: The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs, video displays) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Proper Lifting Techniques: The ability to properly lift heavy objects or equipment. This includes the knowledge of correct bending and lifting techniques as needed to properly position and use one's hands, feet, legs, arms, and back to lift objects or equipment, and to push, pull, and carry heavy objects.
Hand-Eye Coordination: The ability to coordinate one's eyes with one's fingers, wrists, or arms to move, carry, or manipulate objects or to perform other job-related tasks.
Work Conditions: The ability to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable, under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant/intermittent sounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Climbing: The ability to climb, work, and carry items up and down ladders, railroad cars and uneven surfaces.
Manual Dexterity: The ability to make quick, accurate, skillful, coordinated movements of one hand, one hand in coordination with its arm, or two hands to grasp, place, move, or assemble objects.
