This position must adhere to and enforce all USDA/FDA rules and regulations, Signature Sauces policies and procedures, as well as any rules/regulations/processes required by any other auditing body. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Responsible for the adherence to and documentation of FEFO & lot coding by all team members and troubleshooting incidental gaps.
- Follows and enforces Allergen Management Program, USDA, OSHA, GMP and all other company policies and programs for food and employee safety.
- Responsible for holding own team members accountable or communicating with the corresponding supervisor when gaps/discrepancies are the result of other teams.
- Performance assessment and reviews/disciplinary actions for all team members.
- Works with co-supervisors to achieve successful results within a rapidly growing manufacturing company.
- Works with Plant Manager to maintain and audit OSHA standards in all aspects of warehouse and production.
- Interacts with Plant Manager, QA, and Accounting, completing all tasks requested in a timely manner.
- Must be receptive to feedback and driven to meet goals.
- Supervise the warehouse team in all day to day activities, keeping the team organized, efficient, and working in a safe manner.
- Ensure team maintains facility organization, cleanliness, & safety.
- Oversees all documentation and organization practices of the warehouse team, including but not limited to waste records, rotation, labeling, and accurate lot recording.
- Oversees the use of proper identification/labeling of all materials, including but not limited to partial cases, raw materials, and finished goods and communicates any deviations with the corresponding supervisor when gaps/discrepancies are the result of other teams.
- Performs and/or delegates team member training, utilizing training manuals, procedure documents, SSOP’s, etc. along with training completion documentation.
- Able to operate a tow motor, pallet jack, scissor lift.
- Able to perform all jobs within the team.
- Able to utilize ERP solution to perform daily tasks and audit team performance
- Able to perform inventory counts and audits within ERP solution.
- Able to perform material handler functions as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires a well-organized individual that is self motivated and takes charge, is dependable and responsible, enjoys new opportunities and challenges, enjoys working with and developing people, deals with criticism calmly and effectively, is careful about detail and is thorough in completing tasks as assigned and on time, is flexible and open to change.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read, analyze, and interpret pick sheets, 3rd party logistic company and vendor shipment paperwork, general business periodicals, and or governmental regulations. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, staff and managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of weights and measures. Ability to apply concepts such as ratios, and proportions as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to regularly stand, stoop, kneel and walk. The employee must frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The work environment is quick paced in close quarters. Exposure to heat from equipment and products is frequent. Exposure to cool temperatures form coolers/freezers is occasional.
