Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a Direct Hire Opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a strong focus on optimizing processes for precision, efficiency, and quality. This role involves machining, inspecting parts, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with team members to enhance production output.
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC Lathes to manufacture precision parts.
- Optimize G-code programs using Fusion 360 to improve quality and productivity.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure all manufactured parts meet specifications.
- Assemble machined components, including bearing installations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of programs and production processes.
- Assist with designing and implementing holding fixtures and inspection instruments (e.g., go/no-go gauges).
- Select appropriate cutting tools and define optimal cutting conditions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Train and assist other employees in CNC operations and best practices.
- Proven ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Lathes.
- Deep understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models.
- Experience in cutting tool selection and defining optimal cutting conditions.
- Proficiency in G-code programming and experience with Fusion 360.
- Strong knowledge of metric system measurements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail, urgency, and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 5 years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse workforce.
