We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to lead the implementation of front-line safety initiatives with a strong focus on achieving zero incidents. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture in the field.
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate safety programs in compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations and industry standards
- Coordinate and facilitate employee safety training sessions
- Recommend and implement hazard control measures
- Conduct workplace inspections to ensure safe practices and equipment usage
- Maintain employee training records and development paths
- Advise project leaders on safety risks and improvement opportunities
- Assist in incident investigations and follow-up actions
- Stay current with regulatory changes and safety trends
- Guide the onboarding and safety integration of new employees
- Manage PPE inventory and assess equipment needs
- Monitor field crews for high-risk behaviors and intervene as needed
- Lead or support formal risk assessment and mitigation processes
- Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned by the Safety Manager
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of OSHA/MSHA regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with general site safety and mobile equipment operation
- Knowledge of high-risk work safety protocols
- Ability to design and deliver effective safety training
- Understanding of adult learning and behavior modification techniques
- Strong public speaking, facilitation, and team-building skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Proficient in English (verbal and written)
