Crane Certification (rigging, signaling, operating)IMSAMaintenance of TrafficTraffic Signal Technician Levels I, II, and IIIPay : $34 - $40 Hourly, Based on Experience
Travel & night work may be required. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.
Responsibilities :
Oversee operations of crews of traffic signal installer / ITS technician apprentices, traffic signal installers / ITS technicians, and traffic signal installer / ITS technician foremen.Work closely with the project foreman and project manager to ensure the efficient and successful completion of projects from start to finish.Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic traffic control devices.Assemble, install, service, test, repair, and adjust electrical and mechanical components of traffic signals and related equipment including traffic signal poles, overhead traffic signals, overhead signs, pedestrian features, and other related signal components.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure code compliance.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Ability to thoroughly follow instructions.Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of team members.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well in a team environment.Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)Proficient in Blueprint reading.Class A CDLPreferredRoadway Signing experiencePreferred3 years of signalization and / or ITS experienceRequired7 years of experience supervising FDOT projectsRequiredPhysical Demands :
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
