The Production Supervisor will plan, schedule, implement, and monitor production activities for their department, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. Ensures production specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies
- Interact in a professional manner with other employees / customers
- Work overtime and / or varying shifts as necessary
- Achieve departmental objectives through planning, directing, and leading activities of the team members
- Adjust labor within your department to achieve 100% customer compliance while meeting productivity goals
- Drive production on all lines to achieve or exceed daily rate
- Achieve departmental quality, scrap, and rework goals supporting the quality team initiatives
- Achieve site wide safety goals, supporting the EHS team on safety initiatives
- Communicate objectives and goals daily, contributing to safety, utilizations and quality
- Perform lock and tag outs on machines in accordance with safety standards
- Drive 5S objectives throughout the facility aligning with Collis’s 5S goals
- Help to establish and enforce policies, procedures, and drive accountability with the team
- Coordinate needed interdepartmental support to achieve consistent work flow with minimum downtime, any downtime to be documented and articulated clearly
- Provide training and individual performance feedback to all associates while holding accountability for obtaining rate and expectations.
- Embrace humble leadership fostering a team-based mindset, promoting a culture of growth and success
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety while fully embracing and utilizing the Lean Continuous Improvement methodology
- Maintain 30-60-90 day new hire on boarding and training plans in collaboration with the HR team
- Maintain training records, cross training matrices and training plans for all team members
- Ability to learn and operate a fork truck as needed to support the team
- Continue to reduce material and labor cost through reduction of machine downtime and cross train employees to reduce overtime during vacations, personal days, and absenteeism
- Ability to coach and lead all team members, support and train as needed
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
