The Team Lead will work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. May participate in making management decisions affecting the work. Includes team leaders who work as part of the team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies.
- Directs the work of employees performing job functions in the department
- Responsible for training new employees as well as evaluating and retraining present employees in job classifications under his or her direction
- Interact in a professional manner with other employees / customers.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Must know and be able to perform the work of any job classification under his / her direction.
- Responsible for process records and production of the job function he / she directs.
- Responsible for line speeds, efficiencies, housekeeping, work area layouts, tact boards being filled out, etc.
- Must be able to start, shut down, operate and control equipment in the Department, and frequently check their operation.
- Must be able to perform periodic work such as cleaning, making up cleaners and other solutions, and housekeeping.
- May fill the classification of Team Member. Relieves employees in said department. Assists as needed to maintain quality, production rates, and utilization.
- Report problems / issues to Department Supervisor
- Checks quality of work and product being produced. Responsible for producing parts to quality standards. Abides by Company safety rules and policies. Responsible for monitoring those employees under his / her direction to see that they perform their work in accordance with Conduct, Safety & Quality rules and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Help out as a regular production team member as needed from time to time.
