Saint Agnes Academy, a parish-operated Catholic elementary and middle school located in Dalton, Massachusetts within the Diocese of Springfield, is seeking a dedicated and visionary principal to lead our school community. Founded in 1957 and transitioning to Saint Agnes Academy in 2011, the school currently serves 148 students from preschool through grade eight. United by God’s love, Saint Agnes Academy fosters academic success while promoting awareness and appreciation of community involvement as a lifestyle. Within this secure and welcoming environment, our experienced faculty and staff celebrate the uniqueness of each child while striving to inspire lives of learning, faith, and service. The principal of Saint Agnes Academy serves as the instructional, managerial, and spiritual leader of the school, reporting directly to the Pastor. This multifaceted role encompasses leadership in educational development, enrollment management, community outreach, fundraising, and financial oversight. The principal works collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, students, and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the academy’s mission to inspire lives of learning, faith, and service. As an instructional leader, the principal oversees curriculum development and ensures alignment with educational goals while fostering academic excellence through collaboration and professional development. They promote open communication within the school community and collaborate with the Pastor and School Board to develop long-term plans for growth and improvement. Additionally, the principal manages daily operations such as scheduling, facility management, extracurricular activities, and emergency procedures. They address concerns from families and staff while maintaining a supportive environment that reflects Catholic values. Through effective leadership and stewardship, the principal ensures Saint Agnes Academy remains a thriving academic institution rooted in faith.
