What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator BI Level position at St. Albans City School?
St Albans City School is looking to fill a Educational Support position at the Behavior Interventionist level. Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and have a passion for children. Individuals will work with research-based intervention strategies and support differentiated classroom settings to meet the needs of our students. Experience with working and implementing programming with primary grade level learners. Ability to support students in feeling as if they belong and are held accountable.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills, an acute attention to detail, and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
Education and/or Experience: H.S. Graduate or equivalent, column placement based on Educational Support Professionals Master Agreement. Behavior Interventionist must have current Handle With Care (HWC) certification or the ability to obtain HWC certification upon being hired. Preferred knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and trauma-informed care and one or more years of successful experience with special needs students.
