What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator - Level 2 position at St. Albans City School?
St Albans City School is seeking a Level 2 Paraeducator. Paraeducators provide instructional and/or personal support services to students under the direct supervision of an licensed Educator. Preference given to individuals with experience implementing academic programming and behavior intervention plans.
Summary: Provides instructional and/or personal support services to students under the direct supervision of licensed Educator.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills, an acute attention to detail, and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
Education and/or Experience: H.S. Graduate or equivalent. Must meet highly qualified status by either: holding an Associate Degree, having 60 or more college level credits or completing an approved test or the equivalent. Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching, and one or more years of successful experience with special needs students are preferred.
