Certification Details BLS Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Verification or NCCT ND UAP Job Requirements MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low 2 years of CVOR experience open hearts, CABG, Valves MUST be able to first scrub MUST BE WILLING to cross train to other OR specialties if CV volumes are low, for ortho or general cases, they will cross train to second scrub MUST be willing to float to to the floor as a 1 : 1 sitter Ability to pick up extra for 1 : 1 sitting Schedule Information 0645-1515 M-F start at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep Weeknight Call Requirements : 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645 Weekend Call Requirements : every other to every third weekend Holiday / Call Requirements : rotating holidays call response time 15 minutes Unit Specific Information of Suites : 2 CVOR suites Average of cases per day : 1-3 Common Cases : Open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers 4-5 days unit based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts flexible orientation based on recent heart experience This department has a family atmosphere Additional Details Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F, weekends 7a-7p, manager until 4p M-F sleep room available housing should also be available nearby to make call Scrub Color / Dress Code : Provided Radius Rule : 50 miles
