ICU / PCU RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
Contract length : 13 weeks
Profile review and manager interview required
Department : ICU / PCU RN
Common diagnoses include CABG, carotids, VATs, cardiovascular issues, STEMIs, sepsis, and more.
Job Requirements
Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS
Prefer experience with IABP, Impella, prismaflex, ventilators, and arctic sun
RNs required to titrate critical care drips and vasopressors
Must be willing to take PCU assignments
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Manager to make schedule, will consider blocks if meets unit needs
Weekend Requirements : Every other
Holiday Requirements : Every other
Floating Requirements : All areas as helping hands
Unit Specific Information
of Beds : 15
Nurse : Patient Ratios : ICU 1 : 1 : 2, PCU 1 : 3
Common titratable & / or set rate drips : critical care drips, vasopressors, heparin, lasix, antiarrhythmics
Charge nurse goes to codes, normally no assignment, may take 1 patient if needed
RNs required to read and interpret their own strips, no monitor techs
Additional Details
Radius Rule : 50 miles
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions
